Brussels sprouts, Walnuts and Garlic

With brussels sprouts it’s the same as with celery: Either you love it or you hate it! šŸ™‚

I hate celery, but I love brussels sprouts!

Yesterday I tried something new:Ā Brussels sprouts, Walnuts and Garlic pan-fried!
It was delicious! šŸ™‚

Here comes how I did it:

I cut the brussels sprouts into halves, chopped the walnuts and the garlic.

I put theĀ brussels sprouts in a pan with hot oil and let it fry on high temperature for a few minutes.
Than I reduced the temperature nearly to minimum, because the brussels sprouts need a long time to get well done.
You want to avoid to burn them to cinders! šŸ™‚

Than I put the walnuts and the garlic into the pan and let it fry for quite a long time.
At last I pouredĀ a scoop full ofĀ hot water overĀ it and put a lid on the pan, so the brussels sprouts would get done.

Salt and groundĀ (black) pepper of course!

What goes with it?

We had potatoes in the skin, vegetarian gyros and sour cream.

Start with the brussels sprouts. They really take quite some time to get ready!
